Hello, my quilty friends!
Happy Halloween! 🎃 This week I've got a new quilt pattern, a Halloween comic, up to 60% off clearance and a few of my quilty faves.
New quilt pattern: Economy Stars
My new quilt pattern, Economy Stars, came out yesterday! Every block is an economy block tucked into a sawtooth star, and every fat quarter gets cut the exact same way. Pull 20 favorites, mix them all up, and every star turns out a little different.
The PDF is $9.95 through Sunday night, and paper booklets are up for pre-order.
This week's comic: A monster made of thread
This week's comic is for anyone who has ever found a thread in her hair at the grocery store. If you sew, you know: the threads come home with you. They're on your sweatshirt, all over your jeans, and somehow in your hair, even on days you barely touched your machine.
Send it to the quilter in your life who's a thread monster all year long. 😂
Clearance items are up to 60% off
We're clearing the shelves, and almost everything left in stock is 60% off right now, including lots of enamel pins looking for a new jacket or tote to live on. (The only exceptions are the Wishes fat quarter bundle and my quilt patterns.) No code needed, everything is already marked down.
My quilty faves this week
- The Everyday Quilted Tote by Knot + Thread. My sweet friend Kaitlyn just shared the Halloween versions of her Everyday Quilted Tote, and I have got to make one ASAP! It's the perfect everyday bag, and the Halloween ones are so fun.
- Simple Simon is coming back. My friend Amy Smart (Diary of a Quilter) is updating her Simple Simon pattern from her book Fabulously Fast Quilts, now in five sizes from crib to king. The throw takes one layer cake, a fat quarter and some border fabric, which is my favorite kind of quilt math. It comes out the second week of November.
- Ruby Star Solids. Ruby Star Society is releasing its own line of solids: 40 colors picked to go with their prints, shipping to shops in November. I already know which ones I'm putting next to my Ruby Star stash.
Happy sewing (and happy Halloween)!
