Hello, my quilty friends!
It's finally here! My new Economy Stars quilt pattern is out, and I am so excited to share the whole thing with you!
What is Economy Stars?
Every block in this quilt is a sawtooth star with a classic economy block tucked right in the middle. Put twenty of them together and you get a quilt full of stars, each one a little bit different from the last. There's something about watching each star come together that keeps you saying "just one more block"… like ten times. Minimum.

Why it's so fat-quarter friendly
Here's my favorite part: every fat quarter gets cut the exact same way. One cutting diagram, twenty fat quarters, and you're off! No fancy cutting math, and hardly any scraps left over to find a home for (your scrap bin will thank you).
Pull 20 prints you love, mix them up, and let each star turn out a little bit different. It's the perfect excuse to finally cut into that fat quarter bundle you've been saving.

Pick your colorway
Scrappy isn't the only way to go! The pattern also includes a 4-color version, a 3-color version and a 3-color version with a background fabric, each with its own fabric requirements and cutting charts. And if you have that one print you've been saving for something special, there's an option for fussy-cut centers so it can be the star of every block (pun very much intended).
Who it's for
Economy Stars is written for intermediate beginners and up. If you've made a few quilts and you're ready for stars, this one was made for you. The pattern walks you through half-square triangles, flying geese and the economy block step by step, with diagrams the whole way through.

What's in the pattern
- Finished quilt: 64" x 80" (20 blocks, 16" each)
- Uses 20 fat quarters plus background
- One cutting diagram for every fat quarter
- Step-by-step diagrams for every unit and the block
