Hi, I’m Holly—the maker behind Maker Valley. If we haven’t met yet: Hello, my quilty friend! I’m a designer, maker, wife, mom, and lifelong lover of thread, fabric, and a good quilty pun.

You love quilting. I do too.

Quilters are some of the most creative, resourceful, and downright joyful people I’ve ever met. But for a long time, it felt like the only place we could show that love was in the fabric we cut and sew.

So I decided to change that.

I created Maker Valley so you could wear your quilty heart on your sleeve (literally).

Back in 2015, I teamed up with my husband Dave—aka Stately Type—a super talented graphic designer and my creative partner in crime. We started designing t-shirts just for quilters—ones that were cute, clever, and actually made you excited to get dressed for a guild meeting or a day in your sewing room.

I didn’t want bland, basic tees with generic clip art. I wanted something we’d wear—modern, fun, and full of personality.

Turns out, I wasn’t the only one.

Now, Maker Valley includes quilty apparel, of course, but also quilty stickers for your machine or laptop, quilty mugs for your caffeine-fueled sewing marathons, and quilty pins to add flair to your project bags and jackets. Basically, if it sparks joy and screams “I’m a quilter,” we're probably designing it.

From one maker to another, welcome.

Maker Valley isn’t just a brand—it’s a community. It's a place where you can celebrate your love of making, where your fabric stash is always welcome, and where your quilty obsessions are not just understood, but cheered on.

We design every product with you in mind: the late-night stitchers, the block-of-the-monthers, the scrappy lovers, the color matchers, the hand-quilters, the longarm dreamers.

And if you’re brand new to quilting—welcome! I’m here for you too.

I believe quilting should be joyful and approachable, not overwhelming. I love sharing tips, ideas, and encouragement to help aspiring quilters feel confident from their very first cut to their very first quilt finish.
