A monster made of thread

Happy Halloween, quilty friends! I wasn’t wearing a costume… but I can see why a trick-or-treater might think I was. 😂

If you sew, you know. Threads come home with you. They cling to your sweatshirt, hide in your hair and end up all over your jeans, even on days you barely touched the sewing machine. By the end of a good sewing day, it's like I’m basically wearing my project.

Creator’s Note: Our Quilty Cartoons often start with a real-life quilting moment. Dave (my husband) is the illustrator behind the comics, and I’m usually the inspiration for the story. He’s been drawing comics since he was a kid, created a comic strip for our university newspaper when we were dating, illustrated editorial cartoons, and even produced weekly comic-style Sunday School lessons for years. It’s been so much fun combining his love of drawing with my love of quilting to create these for our quilty community each week. ☺️
