The quilt photo shoot

Quilty Cartoon: quilt photo shoot

Every quilt photo has hidden costs, and sometimes the cost is somebody’s thumbs. 🥶👍😂

My husband, Dave, is the official quilt holder at our house, and he’s the best. He’s pretty much a professional at this point. But those thumbs sure love to show up from time to time!

The quilt he’s hiding behind is my new pattern, Economy Stars, coming next week, and I’m SO excited to share it with you, so stay tuned! 🤗

Now tell me: who holds up the quilts at your house? Tag them so they know they’re appreciated, thumbs and all.

Creator’s Note: Our Quilty Cartoons often start with a real-life quilting moment. Dave (my husband) is the illustrator behind the comics, and I’m usually the inspiration for the story. He’s been drawing comics since he was a kid, created a comic strip for our university newspaper when we were dating, illustrated editorial cartoons, and even produced weekly comic-style Sunday School lessons for years. It’s been so much fun combining his love of drawing with my love of quilting to create these for our quilty community each week. ☺️
