Sewing Heart - T-Shirt (Cream)

This one is my favorite kind of design—the kind where you keep finding more the longer you look at it.

At the center is a vintage sewing machine, decorated with folk art florals in that beautiful woodblock-print style that my graphic design husband Dave does so well. When we started talking about a heart tee, this is where he took it—and it's exactly right. Surrounding the machine, filling out the heart, are sewing notions worked into the design like they grew there: scissors, a rotary cutter, seam rippers, thread spools, needles, botanicals, little hearts tucked in everywhere. Pink, red, and black on cream. Warm and a little romantic and completely quilty.

The folk art style gives it a timeless quality—it doesn't look like a graphic tee, it looks like something that belongs framed on a wall. Except it's on a shirt, which means you can wear it.
