Hello Kitty, My Melody, Little Twin Stars—I was that kid. Completely devoted to that whole Sanrio world. The round faces, the simple lines, the colors that were always just right. It left a mark.

When Dave and I sat down to design a sewing machine tee together—he's a graphic designer, so I knew it was going to be good—I knew it had to go kawaii. This is what came out of that conversation: a sewing machine in warm coral and pink on deep navy, "Best Friends Forever" in soft pink script. That colorway landed with Little Twin Stars energy and I loved it immediately.
