Growing up I was deep in the Sanrio world—Hello Kitty, My Melody, Little Twin Stars. That style of illustration just made sense to me. The simplicity of it. The expressiveness packed into the smallest details.

When Dave and I started designing a sewing machine tee together—he's a graphic designer, and honestly the best person to have in your corner when you have a vision but need someone to actually make it real—this is where we landed. A little kawaii sewing machine in bright mint green, smiling face, happy cheeks, "Best Friends Forever" on black. The boldest of the colorways, and the one that most feels like something off a Sanrio shelf. Which, for me, was exactly the goal.

Made for the quilter who never needed to grow out of cute.
