Hello, my quilty friends!

How is it already the last day of July? It feels like summer has flown by, and in just a few short weeks kids will be heading back to school. August has always felt like that strange in-between month—still summer, but you can feel fall waiting around the corner.

It's been a busy week around here, and I thought I'd invite you along for a little peek behind the scenes.

The Great Quilt Closet Clean-Out

If you've been following along on Instagram Stories, you've probably seen me tackling what has become known as the quilt closet.

Well...it's actually more of a quilt-and-board-game closet. And I'm going to be honest, it's a little bit scary. 

Over the years I've made more quilts than I could ever possibly use, and many of them have been folded away on shelves for far too long. As I've been pulling them out one by one, I've realized each one has a story—where the idea came from, why I chose the fabrics, what I learned while making it, or even just what was happening in life at the time.

So I decided they deserve a little more than sitting in a closet.

Over the next little while I'll be sharing a series of short Instagram reels where I spotlight one quilt at a time. Some are favorites, some I've completely forgotten about, and a few make me laugh because they remind me just how much I've grown as a quilter.

I think it's going to be a fun trip down memory lane.

A New Pattern Is Taking Shape

I've also been spending every spare minute working on a brand-new quilt pattern.

I don't have a name for it just yet, but I'm at that stage where the excitement is almost impossible to contain. The fabrics are cut, blocks are coming together, and every time I walk into my sewing room I want to sew "just one more block."

I'm using about twenty Ruby + Bee solids, and the color palette makes me ridiculously happy. Bright, cheerful, saturated colors are definitely having a moment around here.

It's still too early to share much more than that, but I can promise I'll be sharing lots of behind-the-scenes progress as it comes together.

New Tee Tuesday

And of course, this week we added a new collection to the shop!

Our Camp Quilt collection is here, and Dave and I had so much fun putting these together. If you've ever wished quilt retreats felt a little more like summer camp, these were made for you. We have designs for camp counselors, staff members, scrappy campers, and fellow quilt lovers who would happily spend all day stitching with friends.

Plus they're giving Parent Trap energy (the OG version and you can fight me on this). As a young girl I loved that movie so much and wished I could go to summer camps that looked as fun as Camp Inch did!

These new tees are now available in a variety of ringer tees as well as crew neck and v-neck tees in cream, black, navy, and emerald green.
