New Tee Tuesday: Just a Girl Who Loves to Sew
Hello, my quilty friends!
This week's New Tee Tuesday is an old favorite that we're bringing back: Just a Girl Who Loves to Sew.
We originally released this design a number of years ago, and it was such a popular one that we decided it was time to bring it out of the archives.
The idea for this tee actually came to me while I was watching Notting Hill. Toward the end of the movie, Julia Roberts' character says the now-famous line:
“I'm also just a girl, standing in front of a boy, asking him to love her.”
And somewhere in my quilter brain, that turned into: I'm just a girl who loves to sew.
Because really, sometimes that's all I want. I just want to go into my sewing room, work on a project, play with fabric, and have a little time to myself to do something creatively fulfilling. Sewing is one of my favorite creative outlets, but it's also a little bit of an escape from everything else that needs my attention.
Sometimes I just want to sew.
And I know I'm not the only one!
I also love the way Dave brought the idea to life in the lettering. Look closely and you'll see a bobbin and a sewing needle worked right into the design. They're not exactly hidden, but I love those little quilty Easter eggs that make the design extra fun.
Four Colors to Choose From
Just a Girl Who Loves to Sew is back in four colors:
-
Cream — crew neck
-
Olive green — crew neck
-
Navy — crew neck + V-neck
-
Black — crew neck + V-neck
Whether this design is an old favorite you remember from years ago or you're seeing it for the first time, I'm so happy to have it back in the shop.
Because at the end of the day, I'm just a girl who loves to sew. And if you're here, I'm guessing you probably are too.
