New Tee Tuesday - What Quilty College Do You Belong To?

New Tee Tuesday: Back to School Edition

Hello, my quilty friends!

It's back-to-school season, so naturally we're headed back to school too.

But not just any school.

This week's New Tee Tuesday collection features three of the finest (completely fictional) institutions of higher learning for sewists and quilters everywhere: University of Quilting, Sewing Academy, and Fabric College.

Consider this your chance to finally show a little school spirit for the place where you really belong.

University of Quilting

Home of the Piece Makers.

If you've spent years cutting perfectly good fabric into tiny pieces just so you can sew it all back together again, congratulations—you've earned your degree from the University of Quilting.

The Piece Makers are for the quilters. The block makers. The people who know there's always room for one more quilt project, even when there are already several waiting to be finished.

Wear your U of Q shirt with pride. You've put in the hours.

Sewing Academy

Home of the Seam Rippers.

Every good sewist knows that sewing and un-sewing go hand in hand.

Sometimes you stitch it perfectly the first time. Sometimes you spend 20 minutes sewing and the next 30 minutes taking those stitches right back out.

That's just part of the education.

So we're claiming the seam ripper as the official mascot of Sewing Academy—a school for anyone who knows that ripping out a seam isn't failure. It's just…continuing your education.

Fabric College

Home of the Hoarders.

And, of course, we couldn't create a collection of imaginary sewing schools without one dedicated to one of our most highly developed skills: collecting fabric.

Fabric College is home of the Hoarders, with a squirrel as the mascot—because who understands the importance of gathering and carefully storing precious things better than a squirrel?

Some people call it a fabric stash. We prefer to think of it as a very extensive course of study.

Which School Are You?

The best part is that there are absolutely no admissions requirements.

No applications. No transcripts. No entrance exams.

And we're definitely not checking whether you've actually graduated from any of your works in progress.

So the only question is: Which school are you claiming as your alma mater?

Are you a Piece Maker from the University of Quilting?

A proud Seam Ripper from Sewing Academy?

Or a lifelong Hoarder from Fabric College?

Maybe, like me, you qualify for all three.
