Notes from my Sewing Room
Hello, my quilty friends!
This week started with us skipping town!
With school starting this coming week, we decided to squeeze in one last little summer adventure with our two youngest girls—the only two who still live at home. We headed down to California for a very quick trip: one day at Disneyland, one day at the beach, and then back home again.
It was definitely fast and furious, but so much fun. Sometimes those quick trips are just what you need, and I loved getting a couple of days away with our girls before we jump back into school schedules and regular life.
A Belated New Tee Tuesday
Because we were out of town at the beginning of the week, New Tee Tuesday became…New Tee Thursday.
But I think this week's collection was worth the wait.
We went back to school with three very prestigious (and completely imaginary) institutions of higher learning: University of Quilting, Sewing Academy, and Fabric College.

Whether you're a Piece Maker, a Seam Ripper, or a Fabric Hoarder, there's a school for you. No applications required, no transcripts checked, and I'm pretty sure everyone gets accepted.

Back at My Sewing Machine
Since getting home, I've mostly been chipping away at the quilt pattern I've been working on.
It's still very much in the work-in-progress stage, but it's starting to come together, which is always my favorite part—when the idea that's been living in my head starts to actually look like something. I'm excited to share more of this one with you soon!

And that's about it from my sewing room this week. A little travel, a belated Tee Tuesday, and some time back at my sewing machine.
Summer is winding down around here, and I'm not quite sure I'm ready for it.
Until next week!
Holly
