I Wish I Could Quilt!
I often hear the statement, "I wish I could quilt!" Every time I hear it, I want to respond, "You can! Just get going! Start today!"
I have always loved this quote by Dieter F. Uchtdorf (a leader in my church) because it helps me silence the inner critic in my head that tells me I can't do something:
"Creation brings deep satisfaction and fulfillment. What you create doesn’t have to be perfect. You may think you don’t have talents, but that is a false assumption, for we all have talents and gifts, every one of us. The bounds of creativity extend far beyond the limits of a canvas or a sheet of paper and do not require a brush, a pen, or the keys of a piano."We are all creative in different ways and I think that makes our world beautiful. Wouldn't it be boring if we all liked or did the same thing? Everyone has something to offer. Let this post serve as serve as your reminder that YOU ARE CREATIVE.
