Does it still count as a WIP?

Saturday Morning Cartoon: a quilter's pile of works in progress

If I haven’t worked on it in a year, does it still count as a work in progress (a.k.a. WIP)? Asking for a friend…

And the quilt top in the closet. And the blocks in that bin. And whatever’s in the bag underneath it. 🫣

I love starting a new quilt, but I’d also love to get a few more across the finish line. Sometimes it helps to write them all down and figure out what each one needs next.

Grab my FREE WIP organizer so you can list your projects, track your progress, and chip away at them one step at a time.

Which is harder for you: finishing an old project or resisting a new one? If you were to guess, how many WIPs do you think you have?

Creator’s Note: Every Saturday Morning Cartoon starts with a real-life quilting moment. Dave (my husband) is the illustrator behind the comics, and I’m usually the inspiration for the story. He’s been drawing comics since he was a kid, created a comic strip for our university newspaper when we were dating, illustrated editorial cartoons, and even produced weekly comic-style Sunday School lessons for years. It’s been so much fun combining his love of drawing with my love of quilting to create these for our quilty community each week. 😊
