Sea Glass Collectors Club - T-shirt

The letters are made entirely of sea glass. Each pebble individually placed—tumbled blue-green and aqua and pale teal, the real colors of actual sea glass, the kind you only find if you know how to look. "Sea Glass Collectors Club" in big rounded letters that could only exist in this one material. The letterform IS the content. You're reading about sea glass through sea glass.

This is one of the most detailed things my husband Dave has ever made—and one of my absolute favorites in the whole shop. Dave is a graphic designer; before Maker Valley he ran Stately Type, a design outlet where he illustrated and lettered and designed things from scratch purely because they were ideas he couldn't let go of. This isn't a quilty tee, but it's very much the kind of thing that makes you lean in a little closer. For the collectors, the beachcombers, anyone who has ever crouched down on a rocky shore and thought: oh, there's one.
